My Story
I am a tutor who engages students by making Maths, English and German fun. I like to make topics interesting by explaining methods and discussing solutions in a real-life context. As part of maintaining concentration and enjoyment, I often use a variety of different approaches and exercises in a session. Patience is key. This method has led to excellent results for all my students to date.
I am relaxed, friendly and approachable. I truly believe that the right tutor relates to their tutee and makes them feel comfortable and at ease. This can only lead to confidence, which is often part of the battle for children who struggle with a topic area.
Since 2017 I have successfully had a career in personal tutoring in Maths, English and German (age 6 to 16). I work with a range of different abilities, and provide services for 11+ and 13+ exams/prep, as well as the usual SATs and GCSEs.
I attended Southampton University, and achieved a degree in German and Politics . This lead to a scholarship to study a Masters Degree in Management Sciences, which is based around using maths and statistics to solve real-life problems. I graduated top of my class :)
After almost a ten year successful career as as consultant in London alongside Lords/Government and leading industry experts in the construction industry, I have returned to my roots of personal tutoring. Something which began at University when I taught English as a Foreign language.
